Ithaca Beats Montclair State 6-2

Montclair, N.J. -- Sophomore catcher Rob Raux (Frankfort/Ilion) had three hits and scored a run as Ithaca topped host Montclair State 6-2.

Junior first baseman P.J. Canestrari (Randolph/Ironia, N.J.) and sophomore outfielder Jeremy Peters (Thomas R. Proctor/Utica) each had two hits and a run batted in for the Bombers who won for the fourth time in their last five games.

Freshman Nick Sottung (Pulaski/Pulaski) picked up the win as he improved  to 6-1. He went 6 2/3 innings allowing six hits and two runs (one earned). He struck out five and walked four. Sophomore Ryan Mays (Clinton/Clinton) earned his first save as he recorded the final seven outs surrendering four hits with two strikeouts.
