New York, N.Y. – The second-seeded Bombers were eliminated from the NCAA Regional Playoffs Friday with a 3-0 loss (27-30, 21-30, 26-30) to third-seeded
Cortland. Cortland has eliminated Ithaca in the NCAA Regional semifinal for the second consecutive season. The Bombers finish the season at 31-9, their highest winning percentage since 2001.
Sophomore
Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) led the Bombers with 16 kills on the match, while senior
Jen Cramer (Beavercreek [Ohio]/Chittenango) led with nine digs and five blocks.
Cramer finishes her career with 1,931 digs, an Ithaca school record. Senior
Andrea Blitz (Webster/Webster) recorded 11 kills and two blocks in the match; she is now tied for fifth with
Jessica Raymond on Ithaca’s all-time blocks list with 387.
