JORDAN SMITH HEAD SHOT

Jordon Smith

Jordon Smith enters his second season as assistant coach for Ithaca College men’s and women’s tennis programs after being hired in August of 2015.

In his first season as head coach Bill Austin's assistant, Smith helped the Bomber programs to a combined overall record of 27-14, with both the men and women making appearances in the Empire 8 Conference Championship. He helped the Ithaca women secure their 11th consecutive conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance.

Smith came to South Hill after a one-year stint at Wheaton in Norton, Mass. He helped the Lyons to 14 combined victories and trips to the quarterfinals of the NEWMAC Tournament.

Prior to his arrival at Wheaton, Smith worked at the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club in Brewster, Mass. for five years (2011-present) as an assistant tennis professional and four years at the Binghamton Tennis Center from 2006-10.

Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in cinema from Binghamton in 2014 and played one season for the Division I Bearcats. He also played two years at Broome Community College and went undefeated at first singles and doubles in 2010. During that year, he reached the semifinals of the NJCAA Tournament in singles and doubles.
