Branning recorded four top-11 finishes in two competitions this weekend. He recorded Ithaca's highest finish at Saturday's New York City Qualifying Challenge, taking fifth in the hammer throw (40.18 meters/131-10) and placed sixth in the discus throw (41.85 meters/137-4).

At Thursday's Raider Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan he finished fifth in the discus throw (41.02 meters/134-7) and 11th in the hammer throw (38.04 meters/124-10).
