NYSCTC Multi Day One ResultsITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team competed Sunday at the Cornell Big Red Invitational and the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Heptathlon Championship at RIT. The Bombers hit 13 ECAC qualifiers during the two meets.
After four events in the heptathlon, sophomore
Kristen Pompey ranks second out of 10 competitors with 2,338 points. Freshman
Natalie Meyer, who hit the ECAC qualifier in the high jump with a 1.63-meter clear, sits fourth with 2,286 points and freshman
Paige Agnew ranks eighth with 1,981 day-one points.
At Cornell, three ECAC qualifiers came on the track, three in the throws and six in the jumping events.

Christine Kelly raced to a 49.99 finish to place second. Sophomore
Sarah Werner ran sixth in the 100 dash in 12.58 and junior
Christine Benway placed 11th in the 100 hurdles crossing the finish line in 15.50.
Senior
Elaine Abdulky placed third in the hammer throw and sixth in the discus with tosses of 44.50 meters and 36.54 meters, respectively. Freshman
Brandy Smith had a 38.92-meter throw in the discus to finish fourth.
Williams placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.30 meters. Within centimeters of Williams, juniors
Emilia Scheemaker and Benway placed sixth and ninth with leaps of 5.29 meters and 5.26 meters. Scheemaker was also the runner-up in the triple with a mark of 11.84 meters.
Sophomore
Alex Rechen cleared 3.45 meters and senior
Shannon Meehan 3.30 meters in the pole vault. Rechen finished ninth and Meehan 12th.
Ithaca will conclude NYSCTC heptathlon competition Monday afternoon.
