MT. MORRIS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's cross country team placed ninth out of 20 teams Saturday at the 33rd-Annual Geneseo Invitational hosted at Letchworth State Park.

Freshman Sean Phillips paced the Bombers with a personal-best eight-kilometer time of 26:12.40 to place 22nd out of 255 runners. He bettered his previous best 8K by 20 seconds.

Running second and third for the Bombers were junior Dennis Ryan and sophomore Stephen Gomez. Ryan finished 39th in 26:34.00 and Gomez 43rd in 26:36.80. Senior Samuel Horwath crossed the finish line 93rd in 27:27.90 and rookie Jesse Capellaro ran 107th with a 27:36.30 finish.

Sophomore Larkin Bohanan placed sixth for the Bombers with a 27:42.90 finish good for 112th and freshman Shane Connor followed in 125th clocking in at 28:02.00.

The Bombers will return to the course Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Hamilton Invitational.
