2016:
Participated in eight meets this season, including the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships…Phillips earned his way into the meet after placing 12th at the NCAA Atlantic All-Region Championships, finishing with a time of 24:49.70…Named Empire 8 Runner of the Year and was a four-time Empire 8 Conference Runner of the Week during the season…Earned First Team All-Conference after finishing first at the Empire 8 Championships with a time of 25:45.90…Member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

2015: Phillips was named Empire 8 First-Team after a third place finish at the conference championship, and earned all-region honors with a 22nd place finish at the NCAA Atlantic Regional.

2014: Phillips placed 34th at the NCAA regional meet, earning NCAA All-Region honors. He was also named All-Empire 8 First Team and All-NYSCTC First-Team .

2013: Phillips competed in six races as a freshman. He clocked a team- and season-best 8,000-meter time of 26:03.30 at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championship. A three-time Empire 8 Runner of the Week, Phillips was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year. He placed fourth at the conference championship to secure first-team nods and finished 10th at the NYSCTC Championship to tally second-team honors. Phillips was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.

High School: A 2013 graduate of East Aurora High School, Phillips was a letter winner on the cross country and track & field teams. He helped his cross country team to state championships as a sophomore and junior before finishing as runner-up in 2012. As a senior, Phillips placed third at the NY State Championships in the 3,200-meter run. He also finished second in the 4x800 relay at the state meet in 2012 and 2013.

Personal: A physical therapy major, he is the son of Rick and Kim Phillips.
