Biography

2003-04: Beach, who won the team’s Bob Marella Outstanding Wrestler Award, earned all-America honors with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships. He was a wild-card selection to nationals after placing third at the ECWC meet. Beach also earned all-state accolades, placing third at the state championships. He earned his first career tournament title at the season-opening Ithaca Invitational and placed third at the RIT Invitational. Beach ranked second on the team in wins, dual-meet wins, takedowns and points. His 36 victories made him the fifth Bomber to win that many matches in a season.

2002-03: Beach was an alternate wild-card selection to nationals after taking second at the ECWC meet. He also earned all-state honors with his seventh-place performance at the state championships and was named a Scholar All-American by the NWCA. Beach took second at the Roger Williams Invitational and was a place-winner at the Ithaca, RIT and Millersville invitationals. He ranked among the team leaders in team points (third) and wins (fourth).

2001-02: Beach was one of three Bomber freshmen to win at least 20 matches. He was a place-winner at the Cornell Invitational, taking sixth at the Division I event. His top tournament performance came at Millersville, where he won five matches (one by fall) against Division I wrestlers to place third. Beach also took sixth at the RIT Invitational. His first career pin helped Ithaca to a win over Albright.

High School: At Brentwood High School, Beach was coached by Bob Panariello, a three-time all-American at Ithaca and a member of the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Personal: A physical education major, he is the son of Carolyn Beach.
