Biography

High School: A 2009 graduate of Geneva High School, Smaldone was coached by Bill Hadsell, a 1991 Ithaca graduate and all-American heavyweight. A two-time Section V champion and two-time place-winner at the state meet, he was the New York State runner-up as a senior. Smaldone was a two-time team MVP and was was named to the all-greater Rochester team.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of Doug and Pam Smaldone.
