Biography
Blasiak helped lead the women's cross country team to an eighth-place finish at the 2005 NCAA Division III Championship meet.
2004-05: Blasiak was a four-time all-state performer during the 2004-05 season, including a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter run (10:29.42) and a fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run (18:15.49) at the NYSCTC indoor championships. She also placed second in the 5,000-meter run in an ECAC qualifying time of 18.24.26 and finished fourth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:54.49 at the state outdoor championships. Blasiak took home a first place finish in the 1,500-meter run (5:01.30) at the Ithaca College Quadrangular and placed in the top-five at Tufts and Lafayette in the 3,000-meter run and recorded a fifth-place showing at Cornell’s Kane Invitational in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:31.27.
2003-04: Blasiak was a state qualifier in the outdoor 1,500 and 5,000-meter runs, placing 15th (5:14.57) and 10th (19:23.77), respectively. She was the top freshman on Ithaca’s cross country team, earning all-conference and all-state honors. She was chosen Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List twice.
High School: At Chapel Hill High School Blasiak was coached by Ron Olsen.
Personal: A biology major, she is the daughter of Richard Blasiak and Elaine Cameron.
