Biography

2010-11: Schenk earned a pair of All-NYSCTC honors at the indoor championships in the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs. She recorded indoor season-best times of 5:36.07 in the one mile run, 10:59.85 in the 3K and 19:06.61 in the 5K, while outdoors clocking season-bests of 5:11.65 in the 1,500, 19:51.85 in the 5K and 41:13.02 in the 10K.

2009-10: During the indoor season of her freshman year, Schenk competed in four events. She recorded a season-best time of 19:51.19 at the NYSCTC Indoor Championships, while also tallying individual times of 5:46.00 in the mile and 11:37.64 in the 3,000-meter run during the season. Additionally, Schenk ran a leg of Ithaca’s 10:20.03 3,200-meter relay. Outdoors, Schenk competed in a trio of distance events – the 1,500, the 5,000 and the 10,000. She clocked season-best times of 5:17.21 in the 1,500, 19:37.37 in the 5K and 42.09.54 in the 10K.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Brick Township High School, Schenk lettered in track & field and cross country. Schenk served as team captain of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams as a senior. Indoor she earned the shining star award as a freshman, the coaches' award as a sophomore and the most improved award as a junior. During her senior outdoor track & field season, she placed fifth in the N.J. sectionals and was third in the 3,200-meter run at the Ocean County Championships.

Personal: An occupational therapy major, she is the daughter of Robert and Maryann Schenk. She is also a member of Ithaca's cross country team.
