Biography
2006-07: Gallagher was a state qualifier in four events, earning all-state honors in the indoor 1,000-meter run (fifth, 3:08.80) and 3,200-meter relay (eighth, 10:11.08). She was an ECAC qualifier in both events and finished 16th in the 10,000-meter run (3:10.14). the 3,200-meter relay team was the Empire 8 runner-up. Gallagher also earned all-state honors with the outdoor 3,200-meter relay team (9:398.08) and placed 15th in the 1,500-meter run at the NYSCTC outdoor meet (4:58.93).
2005-06: Gallagher placed eighth at the state indoor championships in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 2:29.42 and finished 14th in the 800-meter run at the state outdoor meet with a time of 2:27.67. Her top time in the 800-meter run during the outdoor season was 2:26.33 at the New Jersey Invitational.
High School: A 2004 graduate of Amherst Regional High School, Gallagher was coached by Chris Gould.
Personal: A pre-professional health sciences major, she is the daughter of Donald and Karen Gallagher. She was a four-year member of Ithaca’s cross country team, earning all-region and all-conference honors this fall.
