Scheffler has coached at Ithaca since the 2006-07 season.
He set the school indoor and outdoor records in the pole vault while a member of the track & field team at Brockport. Scheffler won the NYSCTC and SUNYAC title in the pole vault as a freshman and placed third at the ECAC Championships. He is currently an adapted physical education teacher at Lansing High School and is the head coach of the Lions track & field teams.
Scheffler graduated from Brockport in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in athletic administration at Brockport.
