Amber Edwards '18 joins the Ithaca women's track & field coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
Edwards earned her bachelors degree from IC in occupational science last May and was a four-year member of the women's track & field team on South Hill, as well as a captain her senior year.
She was a three-time NCAA qualifier in the 60-meter and 100-meter hurdles, and was twice an All-American in those events. Edwards also earned two Empire 8 titles in the 60 hurdles, as well as the 2018 Liberty League championship.
A five-time USTFCCCA All-Region runner, Edwards currently owns the IC school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.86 seconds, which she set in March 2018.
Edwards also earned three USTFCCA All-Academic honors during her career and is pursuing a graduate degree in occupational therapy.
