Biography
2009-10: Kwamya competed in a pair of indoor events during her sophomore season. She recorded a 300-meter dash time of 48.44 on Feb. 20 at the Deneault Invitational hosted by Cornell and ran 1:37.39 in the 500-meter run at the Cornell Relays on Dec. 5. Outdoors, Kwamya competed in both hurdle races. She clocked season-best times of 20.31 in the 100 hurdles and 1:16.01 in the 400 hurdles.
2008-09: Kwamya placed 10th in the Empire 8 in the 400-meter hurdles during the outdoor season. She was ninth in the event at the Ithaca Invitational.
High School: Kwamya is a 2008 graduate of John Jay High School, where she was coached by Robert Lee. She earned seven varsity letters.
Personal: A Biology major, she is the daughter of Sandra Tay Kwamya.
