2014-15: Barr participated in 1-meter diving and 3-meter diving. She finished fourth in a dual meet with William Smith on November 5, 2014 on the 1-meter board (6 Dives) with a score of 165.90. Runner-up honors, finishing second overall at the state meet in the 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard backstroke. She participated in numerous events, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, individual medley and relays. Bangs set the program record in the 100-yard backstroke (57.00), ranks second all-time in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.72), fifth all-time in the 200-yard IM (2:08.34) and ninth all-time in the 400-yard IM (4:43.00). 

High School: Barr is a graduate of Upper Darby High School where she competed in swimming and diving for coaches Tara Burke and Amanda Dorazo. She served as team captain in her senior season and earned team MVP honors as a junior in 2012-13.

Personal: Catherine is a music education and vocal performance major. She is the daughter of Jack and Suzanne Barr.
