Ithaca College Athletics

2011: Baumbach competed in nine races as a senior. A six-time Empire 8 Runner of the Week, she earned first-team recognition with second-place finishes at both the NYSCTC and Empire 8 Championships. Baumbach also tallied NCAA All-Atlantic Region honors with a 24th-place finish. She led the Bombers with season-best times of 14:48.90 in the 4,000-meter run, 18:26.00 in the 5,000 and 22:42.40 in the 6,000.

2010: Baumbach represented Ithaca at the 2010 NCAA Championships where she finished 114th out of 279 runners on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 22:31.60 – a time that ranks seventh all-time at Ithaca. She recorded two additional top times for the Bombers, a 14.57.40 4,000 run at the Cortland Jack Daniels Invitational and a 17:56.00 5,000 run at the NYSCTC Championships. Her 5K time ranks her 14th all-time at Ithaca. The eight-time Empire 8 Runner of the Week earned Empire 8 Runner of the Meet and Runner of the Year accolades after winning the 5K championship in 18:13.00. She recorded NCAA All-Atlantic Region recognition with a ninth-place finish, while also collecting All-NYSCTC and All-Empire 8 first-team honors.

2009: Baumbach earned first-team all-Empire 8 honors during her sophomore season. She placed sixth overall at the Empire 8 Championship with a time of 19:04. She also earned third-team all-state honors at the NYSCTC Championship in Rochester where she finished in 19th place with a time of 19:30.

2008: Baumbach was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year after compiling four top-ten overall finishes as a freshman. She placed fourth at the Empire 8 Championship to earn first-team all-conference honors, and was named second-team all-state after finishing 12th at the NYSCTC Championships. Baumbach was Ithaca's second finisher at the NCAA Championships, placing 149th with a time of 22:53.60, her fastest eight-kilometer time of the season. The week before she ran 24:39 to finish 37th at the Atlantic Regional Championship.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Lake Placid High School, Baumbach was coached by Tammy Morgan. She earned four varsity letters, and served as team captain as a senior. She was a four time CVAC all-star. She also lettered in track and skiing.

Personal: A clinical exercise science major, she is the daughter of Phil and Laurie Baumbach. She is also a member of Ithaca's track & field team.
