O’Dell rowed her freshman year at William Smith College. The summer before coming to Ithaca, she rowed in the summer with Pittsford Crew where she was stroke seat in the U23 Varsity Eight that made the Grand Final at the 2018 Canadian Henley Regatta.
High School
O’Dell graduated from Victor Senior High School where she ran indoor track. She began her rowing career at Pittsford Crew where she earned three varsity letters and was coached by Sam Barret. During her prep career, she was a member of the varsity eight for five seasons, competed in the 2016 USRowing Youth Nationals, finished 23rd at the 2016 Head of the Charles Regatta, and won the St. Catherine's Invitational in the U18 Women's Varsity Eight.
Personal
Lauren, a Politics and Spanish double major is the daughter of Kristin and Jerry O’Dell.
