Sarachan competed in several novice events during her rookie season in 2015-16...Placed second at the New York State Championships as a part of the Women's Novice B Eight (4/30)...Finished sixth as a part of the Women's Novice B Eight at the NIRC Championships (5/8).

High School
Sarachan attended Ithaca High School and she rowed for four years at Cascadilla Boat Club, where she was on their varsity crew team for three years. In 2014 she won the New York High Schools State Championship in the Women’s Second Varsity Eight.
