Biography
2009-10: During the indoor season of his junior year, Gustafson competed three times in a pair of events recording season-best times of 9:12.88 in the 3,000-meter run and 16:27.55 in the 5,000. Competing in the outdoor 5,000 and 10,000 running events, Gustafson recorded season bests of 15:57.33 and 34:38.94, respectively.
2008-09: Gustafson placed sixth in the Empire 8 in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:55.71 during the outdoor season. Indoors he ran 16:24.75 in the event to place 10th in the conference.
2007-08: Gustafson competed twice in the 3,000-meter run as a freshman. He placed 22nd at the Kane Invitational and 53rd at the Deneault Invitational. He also placed 21st in the 1,500 run at Cornell’s Big Red Invitational.
High School: Gustafson is a 2007 graduate of Jamestown High School.
Personal: An exercise science major, he is the son of Neil and Leah Gustafson. He is also a member of Ithaca's cross country team.
