Biography

2010-11: The NYSCTC champion in the outdoor triple jump, Johnson competed in the long jump and triple jump during his junior season. Indoors he had season-best marks of 5.61 meters in the long jump and 12.78 meters in the triple, while outdoors he hit 6.09 meters in the long and a team-best 13.65 meters in the triple.

2009-10: During the indoor season of his sophomore year, Johnson competed in a pair of events and earned All-NYSCTC accolades in both. He recorded season-best marks of 6.65 meters in the long jump and 14.00 meters in the triple. Competing in the same events outdoors, Johnson tallied season-best distances of 6.11 meters in the long and 12.98 meters in the triple at the Empire 8 Championships.

2008-09: Johnson was Empire 8 runner-up in the triple jump during the outdoor season. His jump of 13.31 meters was just 5 centimeters off the winning leap. Johnson also earned all-state honors in the event, jumping 13.66 meters to place at the outdoor NYSCTC Championships. He qualified for ECACs, where he placed 10th. Indoors, Johnson placed fifth in the triple jump at the Empire 8 Championships.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Nashoba High School, Johnson was coached by Lee Ricker. He was a three-time league all-star. Johnson also lettered in soccer and skiing.

Personal: An integrated marketing and communications major, he is the son of Peter and Carol Johnson.
