Biography
2005-06: Scott won the conference title in the high jump and the triple jump at the indoor championships, and placed seventh and sixth in the state, respectively, with marks of 1.82 meters (5-11 ½) and 12.80 meters (42-0). He also won the conference outdoor title in the triple jump with a leap of 12.56 meters (41-2 ½)), placing him fourth in the state. Scott was the conference runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles (15.39) and the pole vault (4.11m/13-5 ¾) at the outdoor championships and placed fourth and fifth at the NYSCTC Championships, respectively. He finished 17th in the pentathlon at the indoor championships with a score of 2,313, with top individual finishes of third in the 55-meter hurdles (8.30) and fifth in the long jump (6.04m/19-9 ¾).
High School: Scott earned five varsity letters as a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Lawrenceville High School for coach John Shilts. He served as team captain his senior year and was a first-team all-conference selection. Scott set a school record in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.5 seconds. He was also a member of the football team.
Personal: An organizational communication, learning, and design major, he is the son of Peter and Patricia Scott.
