Biography
2010-11: Lu competed in four events during his sophomore year. He clocked season-best times of 2:47.86 in the 1,000-meter run and 4:48.73 in the mile indoors, while outdoors finishing the 1,500 in 4:34.01 and the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:22.56.
2009-10: During the indoor season of his freshman year, Lu competed in four events. He ran three distance races and helped the Bombers’ 1,600-meter relay team to a finish of 3:47.71. Lu tallied season-bests of 2:48.96 in the 1,000 run, 4:56.00 in the mile run and 10:01.12 in the 3,000 run. Outdoors Lu recorded a personal best of 10:28.51 in the 3,000 steeplechase at the NYSCTC Championships. He also competed in the 800, 1,500, and 3,000 running events.
High School: A 2009 graduate of Taipei American High School, Lu was coached by Melissa Vicar. He lettered three times, was a two-time team Most Valuable Player and is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame. Lu also lettered in cross country and basketball.
Personal: A sports psychology major, he is the son of CM Lu and Tzetug Ouyang Lu. He is also a member of Ithaca's cross country team.
