Biography
2009-10: Did not compete during the indoor season of his sophomore year. Outdoors, Mahon recorded season-best marks of 9.70 meters in the shot put, 30.91 meters in the discus and 34.06 meters in the hammer.
2008-09: Mahon placed eighth in the shot put at the outdoor Empire 8 Championships. He was seventh in the hammer throw at the Ithaca Invitational.
High School: Mahon is a 2008 graduate of Brighton High School.
Personal: A writing major, he is the son of Ann Marie Mahon. He is also a heavywight wrestler at Ithaca.
