Ithaca College Athletics

2009-10: During the indoor season of his junior year, Hurley competed in a trio of events tallying season-best times of 54.20 in the 400-meter dash, 1:10.47 in the 500 run and ran a leg of Ithaca’s 3:40.80 1,600 relay. Hurley competed primarily in the 400 hurdles during the outdoor season. He scored at the Empire 8 Championships, placing fourth in the event, before recording a season-best of 58.39 at the NYSCTC Championships. He also competed in the 200 dash and the Bombers’ 1,600 relay.

2008-09: Hurley placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships. At the indoor conference meet, he ran 55.94 to place 16th in the 400 dash.

2007-08: Hurley competed mostly in the hurdles as a freshman. He was third in the 400-meter hurdles at the Ithaca Invitational, seventh at the Ithaca Open and eight at the Empire 8 Championship, where he was the Bombers’ second finisher in the event. Hurley also competed in the 400 dash, and ran 53.33 at Richard Stockton.

High School: Hurley earned nine varsity letters and served as team captain with the indoor and outdoor track & field teams at Horseheads High School. Hurley was also a member of the soccer team at Horseheads, earning all-conference honors.

Personal: A physics major, he is the son of Dan and Joan Hurley. His brother, Brendan, a 2010 graduate, was also a member of the track & field program at Ithaca.
