Biography
2005-06: Broome competed in the 200- and 400-meter dash events as a freshman. During the indoor season, he finished 26th at Cornell’s Mark Denault Invitational and had a season best time of 25.05 at Roberts Wesleyan. His top time of 54.30 in the 400-meter dash also came at the Denault Invitational. Broome recorded two top-10 finishes in the 200-metr dash during the outdoor season and recorded a season-best time of 24.10 at the Ithaca Invitational. He had three more top-10 finishes in the 400-metet dash with a season-best mark of 53.12, placing him fourth at Hamilton.
High School: Broome earned five varsity letters as a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Lynbrook High School. He earned indoor all-conference honors in the 55 meter dash and the 4x400 relay. Broome captured the conference championship in the 400-meter dash during the outdoor season while earning all-conference honors in the 200-meter dash and the 4x400 relay. Broome was also a member of the cross country and lacrosse teams.
Personal: An accounting major, he is the son of Michael Broome and Maxine Bogen.
