Biography
2007-08: Hirsch did not compete as a sophomore.
2006-07: Hirsch won the conference title and finished second in the state in the discus throw at the NYSCTC outdoor championships. Hirsch’s throw of 43.31 meters (142-1) qualified him for the ECAC Championships, where he earned all-ECAC honors by finishing seventh. Hirsch was the Empire 8 runner-up in the shot put. He recorded two top-five finishes at the Ithaca Open, finishing second in the discus and fifth in the shot put, recording a season-best throw of 12.55 meters. Indoors, Hirsch placed 17th at the state meet in the shot put with a throw of 12.44 meters (40-9 ¾).
High School: Hirsch is a graduate of Northern Valley Regional High School.
Personal: The son of Lyn Hirsch and the late Barry Hirsch, he is a television-radio major.
