2010-11: An Empire 8 runner-up in the indoor 5,000-meter run, Craighead competed in four events during his junior year. Indoors he clocked season-bests of 8:57.91 in the 3,000 and 15:30.87, also a team-best, in the 5,000. Outdoors Craighead ran 15:46.31 in the 5K and 32:24.06 in the 10K, another team-best.

2009-10: During the indoor season of his sophomore year, Craighead competed in a pair of events recording season-best times of 8:57.30 in the 3,000-meter run and 15:33.34 in the 5,000. He earned indoor all-conference and all-state honors having finished second and sixth in the 5K, respectively. Craighead tallied All-NYSCTC accolades during the outdoor season in the 5,000 and 10,000 runs and notched the Empire 8 5,000 crown. He recorded season-bests of 15:32.49 in the 5K at the state meet and 31:52.98 in the 10K at the ECAC Championships.

2008-09: Craighead competed mainly in the 5,000-meter run as a freshman. Indoors, he placed fifth in the event at the Empire 8 Championships, running 16:12.07. He qualified for the NYSCTC meet in the event, where he placed 16th with a career-best time of 15:56.54. Outdoors, he was a state qualifier in the 10,000 run.

High School: Craighead is a 2008 graduate of Ithaca High School.

Personal: An exercise science major, he is the son of Harold and Teresa Craighead. He is also a member of the cross country team.
