Nathan Petesch joins the Bomber coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach for 2011-12. A double major in biology and geography, he is a 2011 graduate of University of Wisconsin Platteville where he was a member of the cross country and track & field programs.
Petesch earned second-team academic all-America accolades as a senior after receiving academic all-district V first team recognition. He owns the Pioneers' 5,000-meter school record with a time of 14:22.69 and the facility record in the 10,000 as he won the race at the WIAC Championship at the UW-Platteville Track & Field Complex in 30:41.65.
He finished 18th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the 5,000-meter run in the spring after finishing 32nd overall at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships helping the Pioneers to a program-best fourth-place finish.
