2009-10: During the indoor season of his freshman year, Pickering competed in a pair of individual events and on the Bombers’ 1,600-meter relay that finished in 3:40.73. He set season-best times of 39.95 in the 300 dash and 1:13.18 in the 500 dash. During the outdoor season, Pickering competed in the 200, 400 and 800 runs, as well as the 400 hurdles. He ran season-best times of 25.58 in the 200, 55.58 in the 400, 2:08.37 in the 800 and 1:04.29 in the hurdles.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Concord High School, Pickering was coached by Zach Emerson. He earned three varsity letters in track & field and was team co-captain as a senior.

Personal: A television-radio major, he is the son of Robert Pickering and Anne-Marie Shields.
