Biography
2005-06: Do competed primarily in the hurdle and sprint events as a junior. He placed seventh in the conference and 18th in the state in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.81 at the outdoor championships. He had a top finish of eighth in the javelin (35.68m/117-1) at the Ithaca Tri-Meet during the outdoor season and had a season-best time of 1:11.55 in the 500-meter dash at Cornell’s Mark Denault Invitational during the indoor season.
2004-05: Do had a successful 2004-05 season, accumulating three top-20 finishes. At the Tufts Invitational, Do finished in 17th place in the 400-meter sprint with a time of 56.97. Do finished six spots better in the same event at the Raider Challenge, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan, finishing in 1:00.12 for 11th place. He had his best performance of the year at the Cornell Deneault Invitational where he finished the 500-meter run in 1:12.11 to claim a third place finish.
2003-04: Do competed in a number of individual events during his freshman season. After qualifying for the NYSCTC indoor championships, Do placed 18th in the 500-meter dash, posting a time of 1:13.26. He finished third at the Ithaca Invitational in the 400-meter hurdles, registering a time of 1:00.44. He also recorded season best times in the 100-meter dash (12.22), 200-meter dash (25.54) and 400-meter dash (56.51).
High School: Do was a four-year letter winner in track under coach Jason Trumble at Ithaca High School. He was awarded with the Work Ethics award in 2002 and 2003. Do was also a member of the cross country and wrestling teams.
Personal: The son of Vu Do, he is a clinical science/physical therapy major.
