Biography
2005-06: Walsh posted a 13-14 overall record during the fall season, playing primarily at second doubles and second singles. She advanced to the quarterfinals in the second singles bracket at the NYSWCAA championships and recorded a singles win against St. John Fisher to help the Bombers advance to the Empire 8 championship match. Walsh was a second-team all-conference selection in singles play. She recorded her 50th career-win in the second round of the consolation doubles bracket at the ITA Championships.
2004-05: Walsh, a first-team Empire 8 all-star in singles, finished the fall with an overall record of 12-14, including six wins at second singles and doubles, and 19 wins for the year. She recorded three straight singles and doubles victories in wins over Oneonta and against Utica (quarterfinals) and RIT (semifinals) at the Empire 8 championships. She collected her first singles win of the season over Nazareth, 6-3, 6-1, and then won her singles and doubles matches against Elmira, 6-1, 6-1 and 8-4, respectively. Walsh also won singles and doubles matches against Hartwick. 2003-04: Walsh, a second-team Empire 8 doubles selection, played primarily at fourth singles and first doubles. She posted a 29-17 overall record, including a team-high 17 singles wins and 12 doubles wins. She advanced to the quarterfinals at the NYSWCAA championships in both singles and doubles. She won her first three singles matches and finished the fall season winning seven of eight singles matches, including three matches at the Empire 8 championships. Walsh won the singles B bracket and advanced to the semifinals of the doubles A bracket at the St. Lawrence Invitational.
High School: A 2003 graduate of Western Wayne High School, Walsh was coached by Ken Brophy. She was a first-team all-star three straight seasons and an all-region selection her sophomore and junior years.
Personal: An occupational therapy major, she is the daughter of Joseph and Deborah Walsh.
