Biography

2012: Vorensky competed in seven races during his senior season. He tallied a season-best time of 26:54.80 in the 8,000-meter run at the Oswego Invitational. Vorensky was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for Fall 2012.

2011: Vorensky competed in seven races as a junior, earning Second-Team All-Empire 8 accolades with a ninth-place finish at the championships. He recorded season-best times of 26:48.00 in the 8,000-meter run and 28:09.00 in the 5.2-mile run. Vorensky was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.

2010: Vorensky raced five times for the Bombers during his sophomore season. He recorded season-best times of 28:14.30 in the 5.2-mile run at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational and 26:31.00 in the 8,000-meter run at the Empire 8 Championships earning him a ninth-place finish and second-team all-conference accolades.

2009: Vorensky competed in four races his freshman year. He posted a a season-best finish at Misericordia, placing 18th in 28:23. He placed 23rd at the Empire 8 Championship, finishing in a time of 28:09.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Metuchen High School, Vorensky was coached by Tom Takewenko. He lettered four times as was a two-time team captain and team Most Valuable Player as a senior. He also lettered in track & field.

Personal: A physical therapy major, he is the son of Sandy and Abe Vorensky. His mother and brother, Josh, graduated from Ithaca in 1982 and 2011, respectively.
