Biography

2010: Murphy rowed in Ithaca's varsity 8, helping the boat to a gold medal at the state championships, silver medal at the ECAC Championshps and fifth place at the NCAA Championships grand final.

2009: Murphy rowed in the eighth seat of Ithaca's varsity 8, helping the boat to a gold medal at the state championships and fourth place at the NCAA Championships grand final.

2008: Murphy rowed in the stroke position of the novice 8.

High School: Murphy is a 2007 graduate of Nashoba Regional High School, where she was a member of the soccer and track & field teams.

Personal: A physical therapy major, she is the daughter of Richard and Jo-Anne Murphy. Her mother is a 1978 Ithaca graduate.
