ROME, N.Y. – The Ithaca College golf team finished up the opening round of the Liberty League Championship held at Teugega Country Club on Friday in fourth place out of seven schools with a 323 (+39).

No. 2 New York University leads the championship with a three-over 287, while No. 14 Wellesley is in second with 302 (+18). Union College is ahead of the Bombers by four strokes.

The Bombers' lineup was consistent throughout the round as all four golfers finished within four strokes of each other.

Helena Winterberg sits in a tie for 11th after carding a round of 79 (+8). Winterberg got off to a slow start by shooting 43 on the front nine, but she turned things around on the back and came in one-over with 36 as she made a pair of birdies.

Brianna Morrison is one shot back of Winterberg with an 80 (+9) as she holed one birdie on the day, while Annelise Stencel is one stroke behind Morrison with an 81 (+10). Stencel closed out the front and back nines with birdies.

Abby Bladen is in a tie for 18th after a round of 83 (+12) and she also holed one birdie on the day.
