SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College golf team competed in its final regular season match of the season as the Bombers competed in the Union College Spring Invitational on Saturday at the Schenectady Municipal Golf Course and finished in first out of three teams with 314 (+26).
Ithaca topped Cortland by 13 strokes, while Union was a shot behind the Red Dragons.
All four of Ithaca's golfers finished within the top six on the leaderboard as
Abby Bladen,
Brianna Morrison and
Annelise Stencel all carded rounds of 78 (+6) to finished in a tie for second.
Helena Winterberg tied for sixth with a round of 80 (+8).
Bladen shot three-over on the front and back with a birdie on the par-5, 450-yard 16th hole. Stencel holed a birdie on the par-4, 300-yard 7th and was just two-over on the back nine. Morrison started her round with a birdie on the 1st hole, which is a 345-yard par-4, and she also birded the 16th.
Winterberg shot even par on the back nine with a birdie on the par-5, 460-yard 12th hole.
The Bombers will wrap on their season at the Liberty League Championship next weekend, May 1-2, at the Teugega Country Club in Rome, N.Y.
