HENRIETTA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's and women's swimming & diving teams had their divers in action on both Friday and Saturday at the 2026 NCAA Division III Region 4 Diving Championships, hosted by RIT. The Bombers were represented on the men's side by
Kian Long, while the women's roster featured
Anastasia Albornoz,
Emily Provost,
Maya Hathorn,
Grace O'Malley,
Eve Weatherhead,
Lillian Schick,
Madison Morris and
Eliza Salus. As was the case last season, both boards ran simultaneously throughout the weekend, with the men competing on the 3-meter and the women on the 1-meter during Friday's opening session before switching boards for Saturday's finals.
On Friday, RIT's Gwen Petrie captured the 1-meter Regional Championship with an impressive 11-dive score of 450.55, averaging 6.73 per attempt. Ithaca's top finisher on the 1-meter boards was
Madison Morris, who secured fourth place with a total of 427.75. Right behind her was
Eliza Salus in fifth with a strong finals score of 420.05. The Bombers placed four divers inside the top 10 overall, as
Anastasia Albornoz finished eighth with 402.20,
Emily Provost took ninth with 401.15, and
Maya Hathorn rounded out the group in 10th, also posting a total of 391.25.
Ithaca's
Kian Long turned in a strong opening‑day performance on the 3-meter board, placing sixth with an 11-dive total of 442.80. The event was won by Geneseo's Greg Meder, who posted a dominant finals score of 567.65 to claim the Regional Championship. Long's finish put him solidly inside the top tier of the competitive field.
Long returned to action on the 1-meter board Saturday, where Alfred State's Conor Compton—who finished as the runner-up on Friday—claimed the Regional Championship with a winning score of 552.45, edging out Friday's champion Greg Meder, who totaled 529.65. Competing in his final regional meet, Long placed 10th with an 11-dive score of 387.10, averaging 35.19 points per round
On her preferred board,
Madison Morris delivered a strong showing on Saturday afternoon, finishing third with a total score of 451.45. The top of the leaderboard proved to be especially tight, as the University of Rochester's Kaela Springer won the event with 461.45, while Lydia Benjamin secured the runner-up position.
Eliza Salus and
Maya Hathorn also delivered strong finishes for the Bombers on Saturday, with Salus placing eighth after scoring 420.00 points and Hathorn earning 10th with a total of 411.90.
Region four has been allocated seven spots to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships next month in Indianapolis, Indiana.
