ITHACA, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 23 Ithaca College women's lacrosse team begins its 2026 season this Saturday, February 14 at the College at Brockport. Ithaca is coming off a 14-7 season last spring, its second straight Liberty League title and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship.
Head coach
Karrie Moore, the winningest coach in program history, enters her 11th season with the program and owns an overall record of 136-46. Moore, along with assistant coach
Madison Mulligan have assembled 24-player roster consisting of four seniors, six juniors, eight sophomores and six first-years.
There is an abundance of talent on this year's squad, led by preseason All-American midfielder
Lily Cody, who finished her junior campaign with 79 points on 55 goals and 24 assists, along with 119 draws, 29 groundballs and 15 caused turnovers.
Kelly Augeri, the 2025 Liberty League Championship Most Outstanding Performer and leading goal scorer for the Bombers with 58, is back for her junior season on attack. Other key offensive returners are
Leigh Naturale (22 G, 32 A) and
Kathryn Scallon (26 G) will look to fill the void of lost production from three graduating seniors (
Elizabeth Green,
Hayley Armstrong and
Lexi Kellish), who combined for 123 points a season ago.
The returning defense is sound as well despite the loss of three starters (
Kaitlyn Russell,
Maggie Mandel and Liv Puppo) who started every game last year. Senior
Phoebe Hosford and sophomore
Gabrielle Crellin were in the starting rotation in 2025 and combined for 58 groundballs and 34 caused turnovers.
Sophomore
Mikaela Dattilo is back in cage for the Bombers after 21 starts during her first year with the program. Dattilo made 172 saves last season with an 11.27 GAA and 34 groundballs.
Sydney Smith,
Katelyn Ikle and
Sarah Bernier all appeared in more than 10 games in 2025.
Following the opener at Brockport on Saturday, the Bombers will remain on the road for two more games at Montclair State (Feb. 21) and Cortland (Feb. 28). IC's first game of the year takes place on March 7 against Scranton.
The Bombers will then open Liberty League play with road contests at RIT (March 14), St. Lawrence (March 20), Clarkson (March 21) and Rochester (March 25). Ithaca will then play six straight home games from March 28 to April 17 against Union, Bard, Vassar, No. 12 William Smith, RPI and No. 11 St. John Fisher.
The regular season concludes on the road at Hamilton (April 21) and Skidmore (April 25).
Liberty League postseason play begins on April 28 with the semifinal round on May 1 and the championship two days later.
