ITHACA, N.Y. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association released its 2026 preseason poll ahead of the start of the Division III season on January 19 and Ithaca College found a spot at No. 23. The regular season IWLCA Division III Coaches Polls are set to be released weekly at 10 a.m., beginning on Monday, March 2.
Along with that, senior midfielder
Lily Cody was named Second Team Preseason All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine on January 27.
Ithaca went 14-7 last season and captured the program's second straight Liberty League title. The Bombers reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship, where their season came to an end against eventual national champion Middlebury College.
IC opens the 2026 season on February 14 at Brockport. The Bombers' home opener is slated for March 7 against No. 25 Scranton and Ithaca will also see two other nationally ranked teams this season – No. 11 St. John Fisher and No. 12 William Smith. Both of those contests will be held at Higgins Stadium on April 8 and April 17.
As a junior, Cody started all 21 games and finished the year with 79 points on 55 goals and 24 assists. She also won 119 draws, scooped up 29 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers. Cody led the Bombers in points, draws, game-winning goals and free position goals.
The Old Saybrook, Conn. native enters her final season on South Hill within, or just outside the top 15 all-time in program history in goals (109), assists (48), points (157), draws (198), caused turnovers (48) and free position goals (32).
