ITHACA, N.Y. – Competing at home inside Glazer Arena at the Athletics & Events Center, the Ithaca College women's wrestling team earned its first dual wins in program history on Sunday. The Bombers defeated Utica University 25–10 and followed with a dominant 30–0 victory over Onondaga Community College.
Against the Lasers, five weight classes earned wins by forfeit. At 131 pounds,
Delaney Bisaillon overpowered Deanna Williamson, scoring five team points with a fall in just 48 seconds. The first year wrestler added two more victories against Utica, pinning Dakoda House at 131 pounds in 1:41 and earning another fall over Octavia Dragotta at 124 pounds in exactly 1:00.
Ithaca also saw
Arianna Leo collect two victories at 124 pounds, defeating Octavia Dragotta with a pin in 1:13 before following it up with another fall in 1:13 against Dakoda House.
Sophia Torian kept the momentum going as she collected a fall at 1:32 over House.
Arguably the most dominant performance of the afternoon came from
Melina Georgas, who wasted little time against Evelyn Enriguez, securing a pin in just nine seconds. Georgas added a second win in an extra bout, pinning Paityn Billard in 1:37.
Next up, Ithaca College will take on Elmira College on Wednesday, January 28 in an away dual slated to begin at 7 p.m.
