ALFRED, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at the Alfred State Pioneer Open on Sunday. Delaney Bisaillon claimed first place, Sophia Torian was second, Arianna Leo secured second, and Sammi Meyer finished third, while Melina Georgas and Emmie Moore earned fifth-place finishes. It marked the Bombers' first competition in over a month, and they showcased a strong, all-around effort.

Delaney Bisaillon dominated all three of her matches in impressive fashion. She opened the day with a 14-4 technical fall over Alfred State's Dianna Pineda, followed by a win against Mora Peterson of Nassau Community College, and capped it off by pinning teammate Arianna Leo in just 1:04 to claim the 117-pound title.

Leo finished the day with a 2-1 record, earning a pair of pins before falling to her teammate in the championship bout. Sammi Meyer would earn third place at 131 as her highlights included a pin over Bridgeport's Callisto Banks in 1:32.

Sophia Torian secured a second-place finish at 124 pounds. She pinned Alexis Haeusler in 4:04 and followed up with a quick fall over Alfred State's Anna Shahan in just 1:32. Torian ultimately fell to Lindsey Rywolt by technical fall in the championship match.

The Bombers will return to action when they host Utica University on Sunday, January 18 at 12 p.m.
