ITHACA, N.Y. – Following the second-straight appearance at the IRA National Championships last month for the Ithaca College men's rowing team, junior Bryce Williston has earned the status of an Empacher-IRCA All-American. Williston claimed a spot on the second team and was amongst the 20 selections across NCAA Division III. This was the fifth consecutive year that the IRCA has acknowledged crew athletes with All-American honors and the third-straight year a Bomber has been recognized.
 
Williston was one of just two student-athletes representing the Liberty League, joining Skidmore's Ryan Capozucca. In order to be named an All-American, rowers and coxswains must meet all eligibility rules defined by their institution, must have raced in their team's varsity boat for the current spring racing season, must be nominated by their institution and the head coach of the student athlete's institution must be in good standing with the IRCA.

"Bryce Williston's All-American selection marks a significant achievement for Ithaca, recognizing his standout performance and leadership throughout the season," said head coach Justin Stangel. "As a key member of the Bombers' top varsity eight, Williston helped power the crew to several strong finishes this spring, demonstrating consistency, grit, and technical excellence. His selection places him among the top rowers in the country and reflects the growing strength of the Ithaca program on the national stage."
 
Nominated student-athletes are then selected by the IRCA Board of Directors to "1st team", "2nd team", or "Honorable Mention" based on strength of finish of the institution's varsity boat, nomination rank within institution, as well as Coach's comments, individual achievements, and erg score.
