ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior Hope Oliveira of the Ithaca College women's rowing team has been awarded the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 Award at the Division III Women's Rowing Championship banquet, held Friday evening in West Windsor, N.J. The award recognizes Oliveira for achieving the highest cumulative grade-point average among all participants at the National Championship regatta.

A Speech Language Pathology major, Oliveira currently holds a GPA of 4.0 and becomes the fourth student-athlete in Ithaca College history to receive this distinguished honor. Previous recipients include Lindsay Beatty (2013) and Abby Jamiel (2011), both members of the women's rowing team, as well as Taryn Cordani from women's cross country, who earned the award in 2017.
