ITHACA, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 22 Ithaca College women's lacrosse team heads to No. 2 Middlebury College (16-1) to take on SUNY Oswego (15-2) in the first round on Saturday in Middlebury, Vt. The winner will advance to take on Middlebury, the three-time defending national champions, in the second round on Sunday.

TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets will be priced at $6 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, while kids three and under are free. They will be sold one hour prior to each game in the Bostwick Family Squash Center lobby and behind the pickleball courts.
THE 2025 NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN'S LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP:
The 2025 DIII women's lacrosse championship is a 47-team, single-elimination tournament. Fourteen first-round games will be conducted at 14 campus sites. Sixteen second-round games will be conducted at 16 campus sites. Regional games will be conducted at four regional sites to determine the teams that will advance to the semifinals. The 2025 DIII women's lacrosse championship will take place May 23-25 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va.
ITHACA IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT:
The Bombers will be making the program's 16th all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Bombers have won eight games in the NCAA Tournament, including at least one in each of the past six trips (2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024). Ithaca also hosted the opening rounds in 2022 and 2024.
ITHACA VS. THE NCAA FIELD:
IC went 0-3 against common opponents in this year's field. The Bombers lost to No. 13 William Smith (17-5), No. 14 St. John Fisher (15-10) and Scranton (12-10).
ITHACA VS. THE POD:
IC has played Oswego once and Middlebury twice. IC defeated the Lakers, 11-5, back in 2002, but has lost both matchups against the Panthers, 14-7 in 2011 and 19-3 in 2008.
SCOUTING THE BOMBERS – AUTOMATIC BID: LIBERTY LEAGUE
Ithaca traveled to Middlebury last season but was eliminated by Pomona-Pitzer in the round prior to seeing Middlebury. IC brings a four-game winning streak to Saturday's game and has been playing its best lacrosse as of late.
The Bombers boast five All-Liberty League performers on this year's squad and will be looked upon to guide the squad through another NCAA playoff run.
Lily Cody leads Ithaca in goals (52), points (73), free position goals (16) and draw controls (98). She is also third in assists (21), fifth in caused turnovers (16) and sixth in ground balls (26). Within the Liberty League, Cody was third in points, fourth in draws and fifth in goals.
Kelly Augeri ranks second on IC's squad with 51, to go along with 16 assists for 67 points. She also has scooped up 26 ground balls. Augeri was also named the Liberty League Championship Most Outstanding Performer as she scored 13 goals over three games.
Heading into this season,
Elizabeth Green had 38 goals and 32 ground balls to her credit. Just this season long, Green totaled 46 goals and eight assists for 54 points with 40 ground balls, 24 draws and 16 caused turnovers.
Kaitlyn Russell has tallied 35 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers, while
Maggie Mandel has notched 28 ground balls with 12 caused turnovers.
SCOUTING THE LAKERS – AUTOMATIC BID: SUNYAC
The Lakers clinched their spot in the NCAA Tournament with their first-ever SUNYAC championship victory. In fact, it was Oswego's first conference title since 1998. Oswego's only two losses this season were RIT (17-10) and Nazareth (11-10).
The Lakers have scored nearly 15.5 goals per game this season and have held their opponents to fewer than eight goals per contest.
Mackenzie Winn and Madison Davis are the top two scorers for Oswego this season with a combined 151 points. Winn ranks first with 77 points on 54 assists and 23 goals, while Davis has 71 points on 41 assists and 33 goals.
Alexis Hill (51 goals), Cassidy Croce (40) and Julia Quirk (39) are the top three goal scorers.
Alana Iacovissi will be in goal for Oswego as she is 15-2 with an 8.09 GAA.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS – AT-LARGE BID: NESCAC

- Middlebury is making its 29th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and is seeking its 11th NCAA Championship.
- The program won the national title in each of its last four seasons competing, bringing home the hardware in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
- The Panthers earned one of 17 at-large bids this season after seeing their 67-game winning streak come to an end in the NESCAC Semifinals last weekend.
- Hope Shue has her name sprinkled in the top-three spots among the NESCAC leaders. Heading into the NCAA Tournament, Shue tops the charts among league peers in goals (63), points per game (5.18) and goals per game (3.71). She has tallied 25 free-position goals this spring, ranking fifth in Division III with 1.47 goals per contest.
- An all-around player, Caroline Adams recently secured the program record on the Panthers' career draw control list and currently has 327. She is second in the NESCAC in that category with 6.24 per game. Adams is second on the squad in goals (37) and third in points (52), while also scooping up 13 groundballs.
- On the defensive side, Kylie Wilson became the program's career leader in caused turnovers during the NESCAC Semifinal contest. She has collected 112 as a Panther and leads the squad this season with 23, while Haley Hamilton has 16. Caroline Messer has collected 33 groundballs and caused 16 turnovers. The duo of Madison Paylor (19 GB, 11 CT) and Grace Mumford (13 GB, 12 CT) are fixtures along the Panther backline.
- In front of the goal, Gina Driscoll has started all 17 contests and ranks fifth nationally with a 6.08 goals against average (GAA), while her .532 save percentage is eighth. Elizabeth Savage has logged action in 13 games, earning a pair of wins.
