Ithaca College Athletics is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of the annual Ithaca College Giving Day, which took place on April 24-25. The event exceeded all expectations, rallying alumni, fans, and supporters nationwide in an inspiring show of pride and generosity for Bomber's athletics.

Behind the combined support of 2,640 donors, Ithaca College Athletics set a record by raising a total of $485,149 during the 24-hour campaign.  Additionally, 15 varsity teams met or exceeded their goal, and 19 teams raised more than they did in 2024.

"Thank you Bomber Nation!  Your support on Giving Day 2025 means the world to us! We appreciate your generous support to help keep IC Athletics at the cutting edge of sports performance.  I want to especially thank our IC Athletics Advisory Council and all the sport committees for rallying the troops!  Thank you, to Tyler Heisey, for his collaboration with our Advancement Team to facilitate this great success.  You make every day a "Great Day to be a Bomber"!  Susan Bassett '79, Director of Athletics.

The Top Athletics Overachiever Award given to the IC athletic team that finished Giving Day with the highest percentage over their donor goal was claimed by Women's Swimming & Diving who crushed their goal of $15,000 by 262%. The results of the competition for Most Donors between the teams saw Field Hockey come out on top with an incredible 259 donors – earning the team a $1000 bonus!

"This effort would not be possible without our Advancement staff, coaches, and athletic communications team whose hard work allowed us to showcase our amazing student-athletes and encourage participation. Thanks to these partnerships, over 80 videos highlighting the importance of donor support on the student-athlete experience were distributed to the Ithaca College community" said Tyler Heisey, Associate Director of Athletics. "Giving Day 2025 was a huge success. We couldn't be more grateful for the commitment and support of our alumni, family, and friends of Ithaca College Athletics. This community should be proud. It is a great day to be a Bomber!"
