ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College first year Tomah Gummow was named the 2025 SUNYAC Wrestling Rookie of the Year announced by the league on Thursday, April 3. Gummow burst into the scene for the Bombers posting a 35-14 record during his first year on campus that included 14 major decisions, six tech falls and four pins.

Gummow highlighted the Bombers performances at the SUNYAC Championships in January where he was seeded second to begin and ended up placing first at 125 lbs., defeating RIT's Jacob Deysher along the way to a 13-2 major decision. He would also punch his ticket as a national qualifier to last month's NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship with his third-place finish at the NCAA Division III Region II Qualifier. Tomah Gummow would win his third-place bout over Centenary's Jack Thode defeating him in a 4-1 decision.

At the NCAA Championships, he posted a 2-2 record, which included wins over Augsburg's Wyatt Kaczrowski and defeating Connor Fiser of Loras in a 4-2 decision. The clinical health sciences major was also a NWCA Scholar All-American.
