Women’s Track & Field Has Final Tune Up at Fisher Before Championship Season

PITTSFORD, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College women's track & field team competed in its final meet before they turn to championship season as the Bombers went to St. John Fisher on Saturday.

Aynisha McQuillar was the top qualifier in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.24 seconds, but she did not race in the final. Same was for Laura Suppa, who posted the top 100-meter hurdle prelim time of 14.74 seconds, and she elected not to race in the final.

IC's 4x100-meter relay of Marykate Rudnicki, Rachel Larson, Suppa and McQuillar posted a time of 48.65 seconds, which was good for second overall in the event. The Bombers' 4x400-meter relay also finished as the runner-up in 4:21.42 and the team consisted of Emma Anderson, Emily Johnson, Lyla Powers and Nicole Tellechea.

Madeleine Wright cleared 1.62 meters in the high jump to finish second in the event, while Lydia Barber was eighth at 1.49 meters. Lily Seyfert claimed third in the shot put with a mark of 12.01 meters and was third in the hammer at 48.40 meters.

Cameron Ting finished fourth overall in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.94 seconds. Talia Hutchinson took fifth in the pole vault at 3.55 meters and Erin Eastwood was eighth with a mark of 3.45 meters.

Ashley Kane, Morgan Huff, Elli Cloutier and Sarah Cookson finished fourth in the 4x4 in 4:36.65. The 'B' 4x1 relay of Julia Ryba, Natalie MacArthur, Tayla Hummel and Ella Tucker were seventh place finishers in 51.45 seconds.

Grace Croft measured 10.33 meters in the triple jump to take seventh place and Celia Ryan was eighth in the javelin at 30.55 meters.

Ithaca heads back to Rochester next weekend for the Liberty League Championships at RIT.
