Worcester, Mass. – The No. 9 ranked Ithaca College men's rowing team took on No. 1 Trinity, No. T-6 Colby, No. T-6 Marietta and No. 10 WPI on Lake Quinsigamond this morning in a great racing tune-up at the Remley Cup. It was a warm day with some breezy headwind conditions that the Ithaca College crews handled to the best of their ability, but ended up falling short in the varsity and second varsity eights. While the varsity four won its event, defeating Colby and WPI.

On Saturday, the Bombers 1V8 consisted of

Max Detzer produced a time of 6:36.66. The 2V8, which was coxed by
Caroline Grass and from seats 8-1 were:

Henry Hersperger,
Nolyn Boswell,
Liam Dickey,
Jonah Alefantis,
Ethan Revis and
Brodie Hart. The IC crew finished in fifth at 7:02.72.
In the varsity four, the Bombers saw the crew of
Sami Smith,
Zach Bowley,
Max Spencer,
Liam Carnahan and
Cameron Strong produce a winning time of 7:42.43, which was 25.81 seconds faster than the second-place crew from WPI.
Next up, the Bombers have the next weekend off and return to racing Friday, May 2 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. for the Liberty League Championship, and the automatic qualifying spot for the DIII National Championship on the line.
