ITHACA, N.Y. – Three members of the Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team were recognized for success in the pool and excellence in the classroom with a spot on the 2024-25 Men's Swimming & Diving Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators and announced last Tuesday.
Academic All-District selections on the Bombers men's team included
Matthew Mitros,
Matthew Janssen and
Matthew Stevens who each earned the honor for the first time in their respective careers.
To be nominated for College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must compete in at least five competitions or finish in the top-eight at the conference championship, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and reach sophomore athletic and academic standing at the school. All Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, the results of which will be announced in late April.
