RESULTS
BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team opened the outdoor season and the Jopson Invitational hosted by Bridgewater University on Friday and Saturday.
Natalie MacArthur claimed the top spot in the 400-meter dash in 59.46 seconds and
Lyla Powers posted a time of 1:01.01 to finish as the runner-up.
Julia Ryba came in sixth at 1:02.45.
Aynisha McQuillar won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.98 seconds to set a new school record in her first collegiate outdoor race. McQuillar topped the previous mark of 12.01 set by Marcia McCord in 2010.
Laura Suppa finished third at 12.46 and
Ella Tucker took fifth in 12.97.
Lily Seyfert finished first in the shot put at 12.89 meters, while
Charlotte Powell came in third with a mark of 11.74 meters and
Leanny Castro measured out 10.90 meters to finish fifth. Powell was second in the discus at 36.98 meters, Seyfert took third at 36.90,
Enya Green finished fourth at 34.82 and Castro claimed sixth with a mark of 32.75. Seyfert was the runner-up in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.22 meters and Green placed fifth at 40.25.
Rachel Larson completed the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.45 to place third and
Elli Cloutier was fifth at 1:11.09.
Logan Brasacchio was another third place finish in the steeplechase at 11:53.75.
Laura Suppa measured out 5.23 meters in the long jump to come in third place, while
Jordyn Dolan was sixth at 5.11 meters.
Ava Butler posted a time of 26.27 seconds in the 200-meter dash to finish fourth overall, while Tucker placed fifth in 26.78 and
Cecelia LaBonte followed in sixth at 26.99.
Joy Peterson registered a time of 4:55.73 in the 1500-meter run to place fourth in the event, while
Cameron Ting claimed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.06 seconds.
Madeleine Wright cleared 1.56 meters in the high jump to place fifth.
Ithaca entered five teams in the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays. The 4x100 teams were second and third in times of 48.51 and 50.08 seconds, while the 4x4 squads took first (4:09.42), second (4:11.87) and fourth (4:25.75).
Ithaca heads to Cortland next Saturday.
